Weapons & Devil Breakers

Devil May Cry 5 has one of the largest weapon arsenals in the series. Each character has a unique set of tools that define their combat identity. This page catalogs every weapon, firearm, Devil Breaker, and familiar — their abilities, how to unlock them, and when to use them.

Nero — Devil Breakers

Nero — Devil Breakers
Nero — Devil Breakers

Devil Breakers are Nero's mechanical prosthetic arms, crafted by Nico. Each has a unique ability and a powerful Break Age (full-charge) attack. Breakers are fragile — they shatter if Nero is hit during their attack animation, and you can't switch freely without breaking the current one (unless you use a Breakaway, which deliberately shatters it for an escape move). Carry up to 4 in reserve; restock from Nico's van or pick up spares scattered through levels.

V — Familiars
V — Familiars

V's combat revolves around three demonic familiars, each representing a piece of Vergil's power. Griffon and Shadow fight independently but can be directed by the player. Both have health bars that deplete when they take damage — if depleted, they enter a stagger state and need time to recover. Nightmare requires Devil Trigger to summon.
